A defining aspect of Alex's artistic training was his unique early education, which involved mentorship from multiple artists, each guiding him for several years. This diverse approach allowed Alex to cultivate his own artistic values while drawing on a broad range of professional influences. His further training, rather than being conducted at a single academy, included shorter workshops at various renowned institutions around the world (US, UK, Russia, etc.), providing him with a comprehensive understanding of differing academic styles and the opportunity to learn from the best in each region.

Through his independent studies, Alex immersed himself in the techniques of the old masters, focusing on the academic classical approach and documenting his findings in four notebooks. He also developed a deep interest in the science behind oil painting and the longevity of artworks—an area of study that has gained prominence in recent years.

This multifaceted training has positioned Alex as a highly knowledgeable artist, blending a profound understanding of classical techniques with a modern, science-based approach, enabling him to craft a distinctive style that bridges tradition and innovation.

Due to this, Alex has positioned himself as a market leader in Cyprus. He is among the most famous artists on the island, probably the most awarded, and, in terms of practice, one of the most skilled and knowledgeable painters globally.
